Natural Hair Story: Two Years In

It is coming up on two years since I wrote this post about shaving my hair and diving into my natural hair journey, because it definitely is a journey! I seriously couldn't be happier with my decision despite all of the transitions I've had and the learning process of having natural hair.

The really journey has been loving and understanding myself through the process. It's been such a challenge in realizing how uncomfortable I had been with myself and how I look. Acknowledging that the real qualities I'm most proud of really have nothing to do with my outer appearance. Also I've loved seeing my hair without a relaxer. The management some days is easier, others can be well...interesting to say the least. BUT I definitely would change it for anything. It's been healthy emotionally and mentally for me being natural. I can't wait for what the next year brings.
