So if you're into the monogram thing this is what you need:
Supplies:
- Wreath
- Cardboard (yes I recycled my diaper box)
- Scissors
- Marker (for making letter)
- Twine
- Fabric of choice (that's an old curtain that has a burlap feel to it)
Step One: Trace/create your letter. I did free-hand this, but if you want to make sure it looks perfect print and cut out a letter and trace on to your cardboard. Especially if you have a fancy font or something of that matter :)
Step Two: After you cut out your letter *Note: use dull scissors, cardboard can be harsh on your good pair of scissors,* be sure to check how it looks inside of your wreath. You may need to adjust or cut if necessary.
Step Three: Now wrap your twine around your letter and hot glue as you go along, to ensure the twine doesn't unravel. With my letter I had to cut some pieces of twine to fill in certain areas.
Step Four: Use additional twine to tie the letter to the wreath so it hangs in the center. You can also use ribbon or fabric!
I added a fabric rolled flower from the old curtain and used some felt I had to attach leaves. I haven't decided if I want to add additional felt in a complimentary color, but for now I think it turned out well! This took me about 20 - 30 minutes or so (enough time during nap time to complete and hang!)
Now it doesn't look like a bitter cold winter on my front door!
