You
can't have a nautical themed party without a sailor's hat! To go with
our theme I splurged and purchased 12 gob hats from Amazon.com for about
$15 (including shipping). However, they were a bit too plain for my
liking. So I had envisioned, after looking through Pinterest that I
could add "A-HOY" or something fun to the hats. So I did a test one and
hubby was not feeling it at all. Then he came up with a wonderful idea!
He suggested that I add the characters to the hats in some way, maybe
with felt.
That's all I needed!
So
BAM - here they are! I am elated with how these turned out and can't
wait to show you all what they look like on our guests! So in sticking
with the theme I did free-hand the templates (which I will be sure to
upload a printable template for you!). I have felt and it is very
inexpensive. If you wanted to you could really take off in how to
decorate the hats. However, for now here they are I'm going to head back
to the hot glue gun!
