Well, hello there! My
name is Marisa and I am the owner and creator behind Studio Risa. I am a working mom by day and shop owner by
night. I am wife to an amazing guy and
mama to a busy yet determined four year old girl. We are followed around by two high energy
Boston Terriers, both of which have been adopted from our local rescue organization. One will do anything for attention,
affection, and of course, treats! The
other shows toughness, when in fact, really is a softy at heart.
They all certainly keep me on my toes; a good
cup of coffee will help fuel my day! My
work space is on our dining table, which means as soon as it becomes available,
I seize the opportunity to put in some design and crafting time. We live in a small space and it certainly has
its challenges. I dream of a craft room
to call my own.
I have been sewing as long as I remember. I was
taught by my mom and Gramma. Soon, I became involved with sports. My
time quickly filled up with games,
tournaments, practices, and studies.
After graduation, I suddenly found I had all the spare time since I was
not buried under a pile of books and stacks of papers to write or
studying for
an upcoming test or two. As a graduation
gift, my parents gave me a sewing machine!
I got reacquainted with sewing like catching up with an old friend over
a cup of coffee. It was not long after receiving
the sewing machine that I decided to open up the Etsy shop.
My shop consists of handbags, clutches, and accessories for
modern day woman seeking a stylish yet functional solution to complement their
fashion needs. These essentials are
designed and handcrafted by me. These
handbags, clutches, and accessories will sure be one of a kind item that your gal
