Rain, Lipstick, and Yarn

It's been raining over here for the last few days and as much as I love rainy weather, I think I've had my fill for now. I've had a fun d.i.y. planned for two bar stools in my kitchen, and haven't even been able to work on them. I'm ready to go to the pumpkin patch and spend some time in the crisp cool air...so we will see what the weekend has in store for us. Aside from the rain I've been trying to get over this cold, that the doctor said could turn into the flu [insert side glance here]. So I took yesterday off to rest and I'm hoping this long weekend will do me some good as well.

Tonight we went to Target, and I got the courage to buy red lipstick! It's always been one of those things that I've wanted to do, but never have. Do you have something that isn't necessarily "you," but you would love to try it once? I've got plump lips, so I wasn't too sure if red would be too much or draw more attention than I want. Needless to say, I like it! I probably will wear it tomorrow when I get all the new fun items up on the shop. It will be my pop of color when I wear a few of the cowls! We'll see. I'm not as daring as I would like to be, but I'm getting there.

Today was I Love Yarn day... I know I missed that memo too. So I'm hoping to swing by the store tomorrow and see if there are any leftover sales since this day was NOT on the calendar... Well it's back to prepping for new seasonal items in the shop and I think a good fall recipe is needed too!
